Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards
- As long as your card has not been expired for more than two weeks, your new card will allow the same access as your old card.
- For your protection, once a card is replaced, it cannot be reactivated.
- Damaged cards are charged the replacement fee; worn cards are free.
- To get a replacement card, please stop by the office during regular business hours. Replacement cards cost $25/card and you must pay by check, cash or TechCASH. Departmental cost objects or ProCard are not acceptable forms of payment.
- If your ID card is stolen, first file a report with the MIT Police. Then bring the police report to Card Services to receive a replacement card and we will waive the $25 replacement fee.
